Hydraulic symbol families
Fluid-power diagrams and machine displays use symbols for pumps, motors, cylinders, reservoirs, filters, valves, pressure/temperature and flow paths. Dashboard pictograms are often simplified compared with schematic symbols.
PTO and implement controls
| Symbol family | Typical meaning |

| PTO | Power take-off engaged, speed mode or fault. |
| Hydraulic oil | Pressure, temperature, level or filter restriction. |
| Three-point hitch | Raise/lower, position, draft control or transport lock. |
| Remote valve | Auxiliary hydraulic circuit selection, flow or detent. |
| ISOBUS | Electronic tractor-implement communication and control. |
High-pressure hydraulic systems can inject fluid through skin and stored energy can move machinery unexpectedly. Follow isolation and depressurization procedures before service.
